Homestead Manager ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal farm and homestead management application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Homestead Manager collects only the data you directly enter into the app:
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any personally identifiable information during normal use of the app.
Homestead Manager includes an optional backup and sync feature. If you choose to enable it, a copy of your farm records is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored on Firebase Realtime Database (provided by Google LLC) under a randomly generated Backup Code or Farm Code. Anyone who has your code can access that copy, so keep it private and share a Farm Code only with people you want to sync with. This data is used solely to back up and sync your records between devices. We do not access, read, or share this data.

The app may request access to your camera and photo library if you choose to attach photos to animal profiles. Photos are stored only on your device and are never uploaded, including when backup/sync is turned on.
Homestead Manager may send you local push notifications for events such as litter due dates, hatch dates, harvest reminders, and custom calendar events. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and no notification data is sent to external servers.
Homestead Manager offers an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store (on iPhone and iPad) and the Google Play Store (on Android). All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We do not collect or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details. We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. Your farm records belong to you. The only external service used is Firebase (for the optional backup feature, if enabled), as described above.
All data entered into the app is stored locally on your device using an on-device database (SQLite). You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the "Wipe All Data" option in Settings. If you have used the optional cloud backup or farm sync, you can permanently delete the cloud copy at any time with "Delete cloud data" in the Sync section of Settings.
Homestead Manager is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
